She turned me into a newt
Posted by Keiri on March 31st, 2006 filed in UncategorizedJarrod stayed home today to help me kickstart the stuff I needed done. Half the day was excellent – went to the bank, got a haircut, arranged something about the laundry, picked up medicine, etc. The other half was a giant waste of napping and gaming. But.. it’s better than a whole day of napping and gaming.
Tomorrow my big task is to get our suits and one blanket dry cleaned across the street. Sometime this weekend I’d like to get my car repaired.. I’ve been putting it off.
Something’s been ringing in my head…
“what are these voices.. outside love’s open door
that make us throw off our contentment and beg for something more?”

I’m curious what the newt thing has to do with your post, it mostly amused me because I too have been quoting Monty Python lately.
The “sit on your face” song to be precise. I was singing it to Andy today. Hahahaha. I think he liked it a little too much ROFL.
Oh and I didn’t know that you could get your hair cut at the bank. I want to go to your bank
*waits to be slapped*
Oh, by the way, have I mentioned I love you and miss you bunches? *big puppy dog eyes*

what’s up K?
Looks like you’re finding yourself. Here’s a little thing that works for me usually: I find often when I am trying to find myself, it is when I am most losing myself in other things. So, I have to put the distractions on the shelf for a while. What I am suggesting is (deep breath) that you give up video / online games for a few weeks. Just sign on, set up whatever you need to, then sign off, put away the console, and see what you do without it.
I had to do this recently. (Debating on canceling my subscription on the only online game I play… Probably will.) Anyway, I am doing all those things that I had wanted to do but “didn’t have time to”. I am finishing books, I planted a small garden on my balcony. I’m even excersizing somewhat regularly. More to the point, I have a clearer view on things.
Anyway, I suggest it (going completely off games) to anyone for at least a few weeks. It’s easy to lose our lives in our own distractions.
Oh, to finish the title in paraphrase, I hope you got better.

PS: I wonder who possibly could have posted the above??
