Late Homework

Tomorrow I have court in the morning.. it’s a BIG deal. A very important hearing and a final status conference.. and the paperwork has not yet been filed for the fsc. Things have been crazy with us trying to prepare for three trials. I’m really stressing out. Basically it’s like going into court with your homework late and trying to pray the judge doesn’t get mad at you for it. I have good excuses, but they never want to hear it.

The long weekend was nice even though I went in for a while on Friday to get this paperwork prepared. But.. now its over and I have to steel myself for a hard fight tomorrow. I wish Stan were doing this instead of me, but he has trial starting.

J and I didn’t do much for Thanksgiving. We ate some takeout turkey. It was a kind of sad weekend, certainly a lonely holiday. We played a lot of games online.

Looks like my brother in law’s bosses were arrested in some construction bidsetting scandal. This may not be a very nice christmas for my sister.

I keep flashing back to junior high and college times.. winter times.. ice and stuff all over, dark steel-grey skies, cold to the bone, all alone…
