Graveyards and Deadends

I had no plans to update today – but it’s 5:40 AM and I need to give Kitsune SOMETHING to read. Heh.

Actually, I’m really happy. I’m finally over that damn cold. Andy was unbelievably kind enough to take some photographs of a grave for me.. Antony, my grandfather’s grandfather. While there, they happened to find his daughter, Mary Gerdes, her family, and then this weird thing.. Antony’s wife’s sister’s daughter… Carolina. How ODD! But anyway, it was a great feeling and something I’ve dreamed about, and Andy really made my dream come true. They couldn’t get Henry.. but it’s ok. I think about my grandfather at 15, at his father’s grave, and it’s a scary feeling. I wish he were still alive to talk to.

On another note, Fernando called me and in a very sideways way, asked me back to work until I find another job. With nothing else to do and slug-ism setting in, not to mention the looming fear of lack of money, I agreed. So I start.. well, in a few hours.. and hopefully i’ll get my retarded schedule back on target.

I had some really bad heart palpitations today.. it felt as thought my heart’s lub-dub was off, not pumping in the right time. I hadn’t even had caffeine!! Jarrod and I talked about it and he suggested it might be that I’m not taking my synthroid at the same time as usual. He’s got a point and i’m going to be more careful.

I have a lot to do that I’ve been ignoring and some of it has deadlines. Even with setting goals for myself I’m basically blowing them off. I need to find some motivation…

Pictures of the graves are coming soon. They are a poor substitute for being there though. Even though I didn’t know anyone in those cemeteries, there is a feeling of peace that you get by being there, and when you find a particular grave there is a sense of connection. I highly recommend headed out there yourself sometime. (Sometime when there isn’t snow on all the gravestones.)

    Good luck at work.

Ah! Something to read! thank you…

Hope your work wasn’t too sleepy after staying up until 5:30am. It’s 3:00am here now, but at least I can go home and sleep… in 6 and a half hours. ;)
