I’ll be home for Christmas….
Posted by Keiri on December 26th, 2004 filed in UncategorizedI’m in New York and there’s snow on the ground. I’ve spent the last days (since the 13th) going through my parents basement, cataloging, taking pictures, and putting garage sale stuff in storage. It seems like a whole new house. Already I have 23 things up on ebay, and they are selling. I’m in shock.
The holidays were… retarded. Christmas Eve Jarrod and I went to his house. It was very small, the gathering, but there were zillions of presents. His parents were super generous and gave me a gorgeous purple silk coldwater creek suit and white gold pave diamond earrings. Very classy! Jarrod got the whole Matrix set and Star Gate dvds, and we both got cash, which will be quite helpful. We gave his parents the Seinfeld DVDS and Yellow Submarine.
Julia, my neice on that side, is really adorable. She has a great grin on her. I guess I feel less pressured to be around her all the time than I am with Amanda, so I felt comfortable.
Christmas day Jarrod and I spent at my house. We went to my grandfather to see him for a short while but otherwise we didn’t do anything. Dad built a fire and we opened presents, I got a spice rack I wanted and Jarrod got a gc to Outback. Mom is also giving me an antique tablecloth. (I asked for these things, so don’t think they are just weird and thought hey, a spice rack and antique tablecloth would be great!)
Today (day after xmas) we had both sides – my sister, her husband, Amanda, my in-laws, (all of them) and my parents.. all in all 14 people. Mom made lasagna, turkey and sausage and peppers. people seemed really into the food. Lori made amazing coffee cake.
So tomorrow I’m going to keep working on ebay and hopefully hearing back from the doctor about the test I took last week to see about my illnesses. Depending on that outcome, I find out what my next move is.
