Blame the inlaws

My sister’s inlaws have sent the entire family into an uproar. My sister and Steven had given up Thanksgiving with my parents (prompting my parents to go away to Atlantic City for that holiday) in order to have Christmas day with my parents. Now his parents are mad and said Thankgiving is a lame holiday, and took Christmas day too. So now my parents have nothing – since my aunt bailed and my grandpa is too sick to come out of the home. So Jarrod and I will apparently be eating a frozen lasagna and making christmas cookies at my house on that day….

I *will not* allow my Christmas to be ruined! Jarrod and I will be at his parents house for Christmas eve and then on Christmas, I plan to cook all day and make tasty Italian things for dinner and for the day after Christmas, when my family and Jarrod’s family will be meeting at our house.

So… updates.. I passed the bar, was sworn in. I lost my job (the day after I was sworn in.) because we were not funded for the new year. I have to make up my mind now as to where I’m going to live, what job I’m going to have, and more.

Really COOL update!!! A while ago I emailed the LA Times comics wench about my favorite comic, Spot the Frog. Although the newspaper has thus ignored my plea, the incredible illustrator Mark Heath sent me my VERY OWN SPOT for which to frame, love and hold court above my desk to celebrate my “newly-hatched” (as he put it) lawyer status. I will scan it soon to share it with you all. Thank you Mark, I’m so happy!

Whoever reads this, don’t let me forget.. we need to send out Christmas cards soon! eek!

I happened to notice a few weeks back that The Milwaukee Journal is now carrying Spot the Frog. Made me think of you and how much you’ve been plugging the strip for a while now when I saw it.

And I don’t think I’ve had time to congradulate you since the big bar news dropped. Way to go. We all knew you had it in you…
