Solvang

So Jarrod and I went away on Saturday morning to a little town in the Santa Ynez Valley called Solvang. It was a picturesque drive, we took the “adventurous” way known as the San Marcos Pass. We have some neat pics of that.

We stayed in a little place called Solvang Cottage and Gardens. They gave us free butter cookies on checkin. We spent the day strolling around the little town, that supposedly looks just like Copenhagen, and window shopping. The stuff to buy was cheesy, but the bakeries were impressive.

It was very autumny, with all the leaves on the trees in color and the cool wind blowing – but the flowers were still brightly in bloom and you could tell it was still California.

We saw The Incredibles – which was cute, and then headed home the next day.

All in all it was a great trip that I really enjoyed.
